Football

The vision of the DeKalb Baron Football program is to create a family atmosphere where young men can grow into successful members of the community while being a perennial contender in the NE8 and IHSAA tournament.  The Baron Football Program plans on doing this by providing an opportunity for athletes to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.  The Baron Football Program will accomplish this by living by our core values of believing in ourselves and our teammates, bringing great energy to all situations, serving our teammates and community, and being someone other people can trust.   

Academic success is at the core of the student athlete.  Achieving high scores in the classroom will set our student athletes up for success after high school no matter what path they choose to take.  The Baron Football Program creates an environment that holds student athletes accountable for their grades and provides support in areas that are needed.  Success in the classroom leads to success after high school.  

The Baron Football Program wants to foster a love for the game.  High school football is a short, but important part of everyone’s life who plays the game.  The Baron Football Program will provide a family atmosphere to use the lessons learned in football to prepare athletes for life after high school.  Athletes will leave our program with an understanding of how to work as a team, discipline themselves, and compete to accomplish their goals.  Every Baron football player will learn lessons that will prepare them for life after high school.
