Collin Bice - Head Coach

Coach Bice enters his 3rd year as Head Coach at DeKalb; after serving as an assistant for two seasons. The first two years under Bice's tenure were unprecedented, as the Barons won the NE8 title in his first season and then ended a 21-year drought by winning a Sectional title in his second year. Before joining the Barons, Bice served as a youth & travel baseball coach where he would assist in the recruiting process, and help many former players sign and play college baseball. Currently, Bice works directly with the catchers and hitters. Bice is a 2015 graduate from DeKalb High School where he played baseball, football, and wrestled for the Barons. After high school, Bice played baseball at Rockford University before finishing up his playing career at Manchester University, where he graduated with a Business Management degree and a minor in Coaching.

Jesse Hanna - Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Hanna is entering his 2nd season on the Baron staff, where he's served numerous roles within the baseball program. Currently, Hanna works closely with the team's infielders while also acting as the Director of Player Development. Skill refinement and identifying areas for growth are the focus of his analysis, while also providing guidance and mentorship to the student-athletes. Hanna currently works for Youth For Christ as DeKalb's Campus Life Lead.

Brandon Park - Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Park is entering his 3rd season coaching at DeKalb, and 4th season alongside Coach Bice. Currently, Park assists with practices, day-to-day duties, and game day activities; as well as working closely with the team's position players. Park is a 2015 graduate from DeKalb High School and a graduate of Indiana University. Park currently serves as a police officer on the Auburn Police Department.

Sam Rykard - Head JV Coach

Coach Rykard enters his 2nd season on the Baron staff, where he serves as head coach of the Junior Varsity. Rykard is a 2015 graduate from Blackhawk Christian School before moving on to study at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Rykard brings an extensive background of pitching knowledge as he works directly with the team's pitchers, as well as assisting with the infielders.

Logan Stahly - Assistant JV Coach

Coach Stahly is entering his 3rd season coaching at DeKalb, where he works closely with all position players. Stahly is a 2021 graduate from DeKalb High School where he played for (then-assistant) Coach Bice. In his senior campaign, Stahly played a key part in DeKalb's 19-12 season as he tossed a no-hitter and also gained Academic All-State honors. Stahly is currently a student at Trine University where he studies Finance.

Bryce Dobson - Assistant JV Coach

Coach Dobson will begin his first season coaching at DeKalb, where he's set to work with the team's outfielders and pitchers. Dobson is a 2022 graduate from DeKalb High School where he played under Coach Bice during his senior season. In his final year as a Baron, Dobson was an integral part of DeKalb's conference championship team where he earned All-Conference honors as an outfielder. After high school, Dobson played baseball at Glen Oaks Community College.

Randy Bice - Director of Operations

Coach Bice enters his 3rd season on the Baron staff and 2nd as the Director of Operations where he is responsible for budgeting, fundraising, and facility arrangements; amongst other general program operations. Other duties include working directly with the outfielders and acting as the team liaison. Bice currently works in the maintenance department at DeKalb High School.
